INDUSTRY PROBLEM

Piers are critical structures that are widely used for supporting maritime activities such as shipping, transportation, waterfront developments, offshore platforms and recreational activities. These structures are exposed to severe environmental conditions, including corrosive sea-water, which can cause significant degradation over time. Accurate prediction of their structural integrity and remaining service life of these structures is essential for ensuring safety, reducing maintenance costs, and optimizing resource allocation.
