INDUSTRY PROBLEM

The proposed project targets the safety assessment of engineering structures involving nonlinearities and uncertainties in materials, geometries and loadings which are commonly encountered in engineering practice. Current methods are incapable of solving this problem efficiently. The advanced tool being developed will remarkably improve the practically applicable approaches for reliability assessment and life predication of real engineering structures and infrastructures.
