Yasuhito Niina is a civil engineer and geospatial technology specialist with extensive experience applying surveying, remote sensing and digital tools to infrastructure inspection and maintenance. At Asia Air Survey Co., Ltd., where he is Director of the Advanced Technology Research Laboratory, he leads research strategy and project management and has worked on railway point-cloud processing, AI-based inspection automation and digital twin technologies. His experience also includes a secondment to West Japan Railway Company, where he supported the development of innovative railway inspection methods using mobile mapping and airborne laser technologies. Yasuhito holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Kyoto University and is a licensed surveyor and certified professional engineer in Japan.
