Dr. Zaffar Sadiq Mohamed-Ghouse is Vice President and Director of Advisory & Innovation at Woolpert, a global leader in geospatial and digital solutions. Based in Melbourne, Dr. Mohamed-Ghouse brings over 25 years of experience in the geospatial sector, spanning government, academia, research, and industry. He has held senior leadership roles at major organisations and has led multi-million dollar national mapping and spatial data infrastructure projects for government clients across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the Middle East.
At Woolpert, Dr. Mohamed-Ghouse advises on strategy and innovation, helping clients and governments with the strategic planning of resources and infrastructure. He is internationally recognised for his expertise in spatial data infrastructure, GIS, and geospatial policy, and is a prominent advocate for the use of geospatial technologies to address global challenges such as climate change and disaster management.
Dr. Mohamed-Ghouse is also active in the global geospatial community, serving as a board director with the Open Geospatial Consortium, Vice President of the International Society of Digital Earth, and chairing committees for the United Nations Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM).
