Title
Numerical modelling of unsaturated soils under dynamic loading conditions
About
Hasti earned a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Civil Engineering from K.N. Toosi University of Technology in 2020, followed by a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Tehran in 2023. Her Master’s thesis, titled “Hybrid Numerical Models for Measuring the Vibrations Generated During Dynamic Compaction and Local Verification,” provided substantial experience in finite element analysis, numerical modelling, programming, and the application of machine learning and neural networks in geotechnical engineering—significantly deepening her expertise in the field.
In parallel with her academic pursuits, Hasti gained practical industry experience in ground improvement, soil stabilisation, and structural design. This exposure highlighted critical areas in need of innovative solutions and inspired a strong interest in advanced research.
Currently undertaking a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering, Hasti specialises in the numerical modelling of unsaturated soils under dynamic loading conditions—an area of research with significant implications for infrastructure resilience, disaster mitigation, and the advancement of geotechnical practices.
