Title
Advanced Computational Models for the Fully Coupled Hydro-Mechanical Analysis of Multiphase Porous Media
About
Seyed Mohammad Mahdi Moezzi is a Ph.D. student in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran.
His research focuses on developing advanced computational models, such as physics-informed neural networks, for simulating the coupled hydro-mechanical behaviour of unsaturated soils. Leveraging cutting-edge scientific frameworks and sophisticated computational tools, his work aims to realistically represent the complex interplay of fluid flow and mechanical deformation in multiphase porous media under challenging conditions. His goal is to enable the creation of digital twins for geotechnical systems that improve infrastructure resilience, enhance slope stability assessments, and support data-driven decision-making in civil and environmental engineering.
