About
Ashirwada Wijerathna is currently pursuing a PhD at the School of Built Environment, University of New South Wales (UNSW). His research focuses on the application of Large Language Model (LLM) for spatial concepts and asset definitions within the built environment.
Ashirwada’s academic background combines software engineering and data science. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the University of Westminster in London, and a Master’s degree in data science from RMIT University in Melbourne.
Before his doctoral studies, Ashirwada worked as a software engineer, gaining practical experience in software development processes and industry practices. His current research aims to bridge semantics in different domains of the built environment using LLMs to enable better digital twin utilisation.”
