About
Dr Mitko Aleksandrov graduated as a surveyor at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy (Serbia). After that, he worked as a software developer at the Geodetic Republic Authority (Serbia). He obtained afterwards my PhD degree at the University of Melbourne and joined the University of New South Wales in April 2018.
Dr Mitko Aleksandrov isĀ postdoc in the field of 3D GIS. His research focus has been on 3D visualisation and analysis, computer vision and point clouds. He also has a solid knowledge of machine learning, spatial databases and software development. He has completed 10+ projects and published more than 20 research papers over the last 5 years. Currently, he is a guest editor of a special issue on Smart Data Smart Cities & 3D GeoInfo in the Sensors journal.
